There's a lot of shade in the back because of the big head it blocks the light to that area, so the shading there is accurate but I can see what you mean aesthetically. Also thanks on the eyes, they were fun to do ^^, I plan on doing more artwork in the future and improving my skills. For the line-art, I draw it with my tablet in Paint Tool Sai, then edit the lines using the edit tool to make the cleaner. |

The shading and the highlights are very well done, maybe what you should improve are the shapes and overall, the colored lineart, I think you should use it less, overall in the shaded or back zones.
Also the eyes are very expressive, what is very useful and good (I always do crap with fakemon eyes lol)
Anyway the drawing is very good and you should keep doing things like this, you'll do it great with practise
And, how do you do the lineart?
